That’s why Librarienne exists. Because there is fantastic, exciting writing happening within the pages of literary magazines, but even writers who publish in lit mags admit that they don’t read other lit mags.

Librarienne wants to make it easy for you to find the published works of Emerging Author #4,080. Even if said author never fully “emerges”. Even if his or her published works are only on the pages of Obscure Literary Publication #12.
Which is the flip side of our intent: to help you discover awesome publications about which you may not have heard. Maybe you didn’t get an MFA at such-and-such program, and don’t live in a city with a reading series curated by so-and-so. Maybe you’re a corporate lawyer who doesn’t have time to track down good stuff that quietly nourishes your soul after your eyeballs are glazed by endless hours of document review. Or maybe you just like the literary equivalent of B-sides.
